WCL Recruitment 2018: Western Coal Fields is a Miniratna subsidiary company of Coal India Limited (CIL). WCL functions in the states of Mharashtra, M.P., Gujarat and in southern states including Andhra Pradesh. Applications have been invited for Mining Sirdar/ Shot Firer and Surveyor from Indian national.
WCL Recruitment 2018 Important Dates:
Last Date of Application: All entries should reach the office of Western Coalfields Limited (WCL), Nagpur on or before February 2018.
Overview of the Openings:
There are 438 vacancies for Mining Sirdar/ Shot Firer and 27 vacancies for Surveyor. For the post of Mining Sirdar/Shot Firer, there are 219 vacancies, 66 for SC, 34 for ST and 119 for OBC. Vacancies for the General category for the post of Surveyor is 14, for SC is 4, ST is 2 and for OBC is 7.
Western Coal Age Limit:
Applicants should not be less than 18 years and should not be more than 33 years as on December 2018. SC/ST candidates can apply up to 35 years of age.
Western Coal Educational Qualification:
Candidates applying for Mining Sirdar/ Shot Firer should possess a diploma in Mining and Mine Surveying and Certificate of Overman Competency or Mining Sirdar competency certificate issued by DGMS. Candidates are also required to have Gas Testing Certificate issued by DGMS and First Aid Certificate. Applicants for the post of Surveyor should have Diploma in Mine and Mine Surveying and a Certificate of Competency issued by DGMS for Surveyors or Certificate of Matriculation and Certificate of Competency issued by DGMS for Surveyors.

Western Coal Examination Fees:
A fee of Rs 100 has to be paid by a Demand Draft from a nationalised Bank issued in the favour of “Western Coalfields Limited, Nagpur” that is payable at Nagpur.
