Description of Openings

There are 371 openings in total. The maximum number 302 posts are for Assistant Engineer (Civil), 34 are for Assistant Engineer (Electrical), 25 for Assistant Engineer (Mechanical) and 10 for Assistant Agriculture Engineer. Reservations have been provided for SC, ST, OBC and Persons with Physical Disability. Reservation is also provided for female candidates.

Age Limit: 

Applicants belonging to the General category should not be less than 21 years and not more than 40 years of age as on 1st January 2015. Candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC and Persons with Physical Disability can apply up to 45 years of age. Female candidates also have been given 5 years of age relaxation as well, making them eligible up to 45 years.

Educational Qualification: 

Applicants for the above posts should hold a Degree in Engineering relevant to the stream they are applying.

Application Procedure: – 

Only online applications will be accepted. Online applications can be made on www.mponline.gov.in , www.mppsc.com and www.mppsc.nic.in. Online payment of examination fees can be done by means of Master or Visa debit and credit cards. Apart from this applicants can also apply online at the authorized mponline kiosks and deposit the examination fees in the designated kiosks. Applicants must first scan their photograph and signature.  Scanning facility is available at all the kiosks free of cost. The form should be filled carefully keeping in mind all the instructions. Any mistakes made in the application form can be corrected between January 2018 (starting 12.00 pm) to February 2018 (ending 12.00 am). For each correction a payment of Rs. 50 is charged.

Examination Fees:

Applicants belonging to General category are required to submit a fee of Rs 1600 and candidates belonging to reserved categories have to Pay Rs 800 as fee. Every applicant, irrespective of any category, will be required to pay an additional Rs 40 as Portal Fee

Selection Procedure:

Preliminary Examination is only a screening test. Candidates clearing the main examination will be called for the final interview and a merit list will then be prepared based on the collective marks obtained in Main Examination and the Interview round.
