Cuddapah Airport Contact Number: Cuddapah Airport is located at Kadapa (formerly Cuddapah) in Andhra Pradesh, India. The Andhra Pradesh State Government and the Airports Authority of India (AAI) agreed to a memorandum of understanding (MOU) in March 2007 for developing and improving the existing airports at Kadapa and Warangal to handle air traffic of ATR-42 and ATR-72 type of aircraft. The IATA code of Cuddapah Airport is CDP while its ICAO code is VACP.

The airport came into existence in 1953 and is spread over 229.5 acres of land with a 3600 X 150 ft runway. In the early 80’s, Vayudoot, the regional airline established as a joint venture between the two government owned carriers Air India and Indian Airlines started its services from Hyderabad to Kadapa. Since last decade, the airport is not entertaining any commercial flights and is solely used for military purposes.
The Cuddapah airport is of medium size with very little construction work to support the operation of air traffic from the airport. However, recently in 2009, a new 2 km run way has been completed and work on new Air Traffic control and passenger terminal buildings is going on. With a budget of 8 crores allocated, other basic facility at the airport will follow soon. The plan is to develop the airport on a Build, operate and transfer (BOT) basis.
