Bagdogra Airport West Bengal: The Bagdogra Airport is a military airport which carries flights for civilians and is also known as Civil Aerodrome Bagdogra. It is located in Bagdogra place, around 16 km away from Siliguri city in the district of Darjeeling, West Bengal. The airport is the major hubs of important flights, connecting to Kolkata. The airport experiences a footfall of around thousands of travelers on the annual basis with most of them arriving to explore the hills stations.

Bagdogra Airport at Bagdogra has witnessed the inauguration of two new aprons. The aerodrome operates eight to nine flights of the day and had only three aprons earlier, but in contradiction to that almost five aircraft can be parked today. The old aprons are being revamped to bring it to the level of new ones and incorporate the space of six aircraft.

Bagdogra airport will soon be incorporating more facilities for the passengers and will be upgraded with category III night vision facility. This facility will ensure visibility to the pilot up to 50 m at night. The state government has undertaken the initiative to provide 23 acres of land free of cost to the AAI
